This job was to salvage one-of-a-kind solid oak front doors from the main opening of a Rydal home and repurpose as an entryway to their garden. I was very glad the clients decided to reuse the French doors, as they were a staple of the original home when it was built 120 years ago. We removed the doors and hardware to refinish them. Then, installed the doors in the garden opposite the property's tennis court. This piece was once the keystone of curb appeal for the street facing view of this home. Now, garden visitors are treated to this surprising, antique charm tucked away near tall ivy shrubbery. The wooden frame and doors retain their original wavy glass, carved embellishments and iron details; adding the perfect amount of vintage glamour to this backyard in Abington, Montgomery County.
